A Gourmet Destination in Tuscany and “Gladiator” Film Set

In its June edition, Elle Decor describes Vitaleta Gourmet as a hidden gem nestled in the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia. Our restaurant showcases the authentic flavors of Tuscany, perched on a hilltop surrounded by wheat fields. According to Elle Decor, Vitaleta is “a tribute to rural life, perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility in one of Italy’s most beautiful regions.” Located on the first floor of a restored farmhouse, next to the Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta, the restaurant is also known for being a film set for the movie “Gladiator.”

Our chef, Cristiano Milighetti, offers fine dining with a nostalgic twist, blending tradition, memories, and creativity. Elle Decor highlights that with only six tables, each offering a breathtaking view of the Val d’Orcia, Vitaleta is “the perfect place to enjoy the unforgettable colors of the Tuscan sunset.”

The menu celebrates Tuscany with dishes like Asparagus and Sheep Ricotta Buttons, Soft Egg with Peas and Truffle, and Tuscan Liver Pâté. All ingredients, from homemade pasta made with Senatore Cappelli wheat to extra virgin olive oil, are organic and locally sourced, following a philosophy of local procurement.

Elle Decor emphasizes that Vitaleta Gourmet provides “a unique experience, where you can savor authentic Tuscan products in an environment that combines natural beauty and cinematic charm.” Discover more by reading the full article in Elle Decor.
